leonard1Leonard Cohen’s debut album, ‘The Songs Of Leonard Cohen,’ was released on Columbia Records on December 27, 1967. Since that time, Cohen has recorded eight additional studio albums – ‘Songs From A Room’ (1969), ‘Songs Of Love and Hate’ (1971), ‘New Skin For The Old Ceremony’ (1973), ‘Death Of A Ladies’ Man (1977), ‘Recent Songs’ (1979), ‘Various Positions’ (1984), ‘I’m Your Man’ (1988) and ‘The Future’ (1992) – a pair of live albums – ‘Live Songs’ (1972) and ‘Cohen Live’ (1994) – and two greatest hits collections – ‘Best Of Leonard Cohen’ (1975) and ‘More Best Of’ (1997). Over the course of his career, Leonard Cohen has sold more than 11 million albums worldwide.

In addition to recording, Cohen has published 11 books including the 1963 novel ‘The Favorite Game’ and 1966’s literary classic, ‘Beautiful Losers.’ An obvious influence on a new generation of performers, Leonard has seen his songs covered by singers throughout the world. His music has earned the accolades of other artists in tribute albums from France, Norway, Spain, the Czech Republic, South Africa, the United States and his native Canada. Among these tributes are the best-selling American album ‘Tower Of Song’ and Jennifer Warnes’ celebrated ‘Famous Blue Raincoat.’
