Tangerine: "The Peeling Of Tangerine" |
 |
Gear Fab Records
Originally released in 1971 in a very small local pressing, The Peeling Of Tangerine by the band Tangerine is another legendary long lost pressing resurrected by the Gearfab label.
The roots of Tangerine can be traced back to the late fifties and one Al (Big Al) Ferraro a local legend on the PA. music scene. In the 60's Big Al teamed up with brother Lynn ( Crash ) and by early 1970 Tangerine was born.

Recorded in Pittsburgh the album consisted of just over 30 minutes of hard rocking guitar oriented rock music. All five of the songs on the album were written or co-written by Big Al and can be likened to many of the top bands of the era such as Grand Funk or Iron Butterfly. Tangerine eventually evolved into the Ferraro Brothers Band that is still recording and releasing CDs today.
