Roy Orbison & The Teen Kings: "Lost and Found"
Have you ever wondered who stars were before they were stars? Before Roy Orbison created the many classics he became famous for, he was part of a group known first as the Wink Westerners, who then became The Teen Kings and had their own Friday night television show. This group comprised of Billy Pat Ellis, Jack Kennelly, James Morrow and Roy Orbison, and toured around Texas for three years before they split.

With the release of Lost and Found: The Unreleased 1956 Recordings listeners are treated to a Saturday night taping of a broadcast from this talented group at KOSA-TV in Odessa Texas. The songs are classics from the 50's and very familiar, including Orbison's Go! Go! Go! And TK Blues. This album showcases both the talents and events that had a profound influence on Orbison himself.

You can sing along with familiar tunes such as Blue Suede Shoes, Brown Eyed Handsome Man and Singing the Blues. The last track of the album features an interview with Billy Pat Ellis, Jack Kennelly and James Morrow, which gives an interesting insight into the band.

This album is worthy to own, not just on its own accord, but also as a part of the history of Roy Orbison himself. . These 'new' versions of old familiar tunes form a familiar voice that is just the beginning. The songs on the album are upbeat and fun while at the same time it is interesting to hear the voices of some of the Teen Kings tell their story. This album is for not just the collector of classic rock and roll, but also for anyone who would like to own a little piece of rock and roll history.
