Deceased: "Behind The Mourners Veil EP" |
 |
Flashbacks of early, pre-death-metal thrash core
are all over this EP. If they had left off the
great DRI cover ("Reaganomics") I'd still be
saying the same thing. Great, adrenalinised
percussion (I used to call them 'polka beats')
reminiscent of the best Slayer, amid rhythms that
will make you feel dizzy at times. And the
drummer is the singer!

Don't see that much! No
safety in song here, just pure aggression. Having
been a band since 1985 they simply have better
influences than the newer crop, who are fusing
metal with rap, and "alterative" to try and fool
the college kids. A highly recommended onslaught.
