The album "Mardi Gras", was released in April 1972, nearly a year and a half after "Pendulum's" commercial failure and it holds the distinction of being CCR’s seventh and final studio album.
Now reduced to a trio with the departure of Tom Fogerty, John Fogerty released the reins and let the remaining band members share in the writing, singing and production of this album.

"Mardi Gras" steered more towards
a country sound and only produced one single, Sweet Hitch-Hiker that reached the charts. The album was harshly treated by critics and virtually ignored by fans. Shortly after the release of "Mardi Gras", Creedence Clearwater Revival was no more.
This re-mastered version of “Mardi Gras” comes with complete original album graphics and in depth liner notes by author and teacher Craig Werner.
