 Creedence Clearwater Revival: "CCR"
Universal / Fantasy
Creedence Clearwater Revival was formed in the mid 60's by brothers Tom and John Fogerty, and between 1968 and 1972 the band released seven studio albums for the Fantasy label. C.C.R. became one of the most popular singles bands in America for most of the late 60's and early 70's and with a number of classic hits , including "Bad Moon Rising," "Green River," "Down on the Corner," "Travelin' Band," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Up Around the Bend," and "Lookin' out My Back Door." the band earned their place in music history and in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Although the C.C.R. albums have been available in CD format since the late 80's, Universal Music is now re-releasing all the albums in a definitive 20bit K2 super coding format that promises the listener the absolute best sound available in the CD format.

The band’s debut album, simply titled Creedence Clearwater Revival was originally released in July 1968. The album was a mixture of original compositions written mainly by John Fogerty and featured extended , psychedelic workouts of '50s classics "I Put a Spell on You", “Ninety Nine and A Half” and "Suzy Q." The latter song became the bands’ first big hit, and paved the way for a string of hits that were to follow in the next two years.

Complete with original album graphics and liner notes by noted rock journalist Ben Fong- Torres, from Rolling Stone magazine, this latest edition reissue of Creedence Clearwater Revival is certain to replace those old CD versions once the sound quality is heard.
