Like most great artists, Lorraine Lawson has been an aspiring performer since she was a child. "Everyone tells me that I sang and danced from the time I woke up to the time I went to sleep." Lorraine's first performance was at her church Christmas Pageant when she was just two years old.

Lorraine's love of performing was combined with formal education when she attended Etobicoke School of the Arts and Toronto's Humber College Jazz Program. In High School, she concentrated her studies in dance, drama and musical theatre. College was a time to explore various musical styles such as R & B, jazz and vocal jazz harmony. Lorraine's commitment to her vocal training led her to study with some of the best private teachers in Toronto.
