Since August: "Since August"

Loggerhead/Universal Records "Since August" is a new band based in Fredericton, New Brunswick that have suddenly appeared out of nowhere to take the Canadian music scene by storm. With appearances on the Open Mike with Mike Bullard TV show and a new video in rotation on Much Music, this band defies the notion that all new bands coming out of the Maritimes play Celtic- influenced folk. Formed at the University of New Brunswick by three guys from Perth Andover, N.B. and two from St. Andrews, "Since August" was originally known as "Even" when they won a North American Battle Of The Bands contest sponsored by the beer.com website. As a result of the win, the band completed a tour then headed to a recording studio to record the songs that would eventually become their debut self-titled album.
