Denise Murray is living proof that it is never to late to fulfill a dream. Having had two children by the age of twenty-one and battled Gillian-Barre Syndrome even before that, Murray has strongly begun the ascent to the top of the Canadian country music charts.
Passionate about her music, Murray entered a national talent show in 1993 and left with the third place prize, trailing soon-to-be-superstar superstar Paul Brandt. A couple of years later, she entered again. This time she she hit the topspot and garnered the awards for “Outstanding Artist" and “Outstanding Song."
Murray’s first CD, "What You Mean To Me", introduced her to Canada’s Country Music Industry and established her as one of Atlantic Canada’s best new country artists. Murray produced a Top 10 and Top 20 hit with "Has Anybody Seen My Angel" and "What’s It Gonna Take" on the RPM Country Charts. Both songs were also Top 40 hits in The Record, Canada’s music industry magazine.
With her first CD, Denise was voted 1999 East Coast Music Awards’ "Country Artist of the Year". She and her band played throughout Atlantic Canada as well as Ontario and Quebec.

Denise was honoured by receiving a total of 9 nominations from the CCMA, ECMA and Big Country awards. CMT has played 3 of her videos from the first album and the CBC has featured her on several regional television programs.
Under Loggerhead Records, Murray’s new release “Under the Moon" produced by Jeff Nystrom, in Hudson, Quebec, has also found its way into the charts. Singles “Boom", “Those Were the Days" and “For a While" continue to make steady progress in the Canadian charts.
Known in her local territory as “Metro Moncton’s Queen of Country", Murray has the passion and emotion that will allow her hold that title for quite some time.
