A soulful voice along with solid songwriting skills has made Kelly Brock a fast rising star on the Canadian music scene. Hailing from Vancouver, Brock began her career with the band Lost Durangos whose single release “Out of Touch" charted nationally and broke the Top 20 in Vancouver. Soon thereafter, Brock won the Top Female Vocalist award for the BCCMA Talent on Tape contest.
In 1997, her debut CD, entitled, Kelly Brock, was released. The single “Sacred" proved a hit, being featured on the teen soap/drama Dawson’s Creek. January 2000 saw the release of Brock’s second CD, So Close. This CD combines pop, roots and the rock style of Brock while portraying a wide range of emotions: “Laugh away/let all the pain out/ You’ve got a lot of little things to be high about/ Just let go of self-doubt/ You’ve got a lot of little things to smile about."
Brock includes Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty and Sheryl Crow among her role models. She has had considerable exposure having had a chance to share the stage with the Barenaked Ladies, Tonic and the illustrious Jerry Springer.

The single “Desperate Measure" is showcased in Out of Synch, a VHI movie, while her second video “A Lot of Little Things" will feature former Roseanne star Tom Arnold.
Brock’s own label DitY Records (Do it Yourself) is named quite appropriately. Her determination is more than impressive. A performer who proclaims she is not able to give her all to a song unless she is emotionally attached to it. “I love to sing, I love to perform and I love to write songs. There’s really nothing else in the world I’d rather be doing," says the singing sensation.
So Close is an extreme listening pleasure, and a must-have for fans of good music. With hits “Desperate Measures", “You’d Be Mine", “So Close", and “You’ve Come a Long Way", this CD is full of energy and is destined to be successful.
Kelly Brock is a bright light on the West Coast for the Canadian music scene and is well on her way to enjoying a very successful career.
