Greatest Hits Volume 2: Over 70 minutes with... compiles 19 songs as recorded by the band between 1971 to 1976. While most of the Stampeders biggest hits are included on the fist volume of Greatest Hits , this set does contain extended versions of the hard rocking Running Wild , and the trippy Me and My Stone as well as a remarkable hard rock cover version of the Lovin' Spoonful Hit, Summer In The City. Greatest Hits Volume 2 will give the fans another side of the Stampeders with music runs the gambit between hard rock , to swing and even funk complete with a horn section on some of the later tracks. This set proves that the Stampeders were more than just a Canadian pop band, they were excellent musicians ,songwriters and versatile performers that always kept up with the times and music trends, despite the lack of commercial radio support.
