Teaze was originally formed in Windsor, Ontario in the mid 70's and started out as a cover band playing Detroit styled hard rock at local bars in the vein as bands such as Bob Segar System, Grand Funk, MC5 and Alice Cooper.
Consisting of band members Brian Danter (lead vocals,bass),Mike Kozak (drums) , Mark Bradac (guitar) and Chuck Price (guitar), Teaze eventually moved to Toronto and established a large local following and quickly became one of the hottest bar bands in the Toronto area.

In 1976, Teaze recorded a number of demo songs in hopes of securing a recording contract but the demos were so good they ended up being released as the debut self-titled Teaze album on a small local label. The record attracted the attention of Aquarius Records and the band were signed to a national recording contract. Teaze embarked on a world tour. One of the first stops on the tour was Tokyo, Japan which was the band’s first performance outside of Canada. The concert was recorded for posterity and technical reasons but it was not originally intended to be a live album. The show went so well and overseas demand for Teaze recordings was so great that the recording was released as the album Tour Of Japan later that year while the band was still on the road.
